Our story

Meet Harry and Avi

Founded by two cousins, Harry and Avi (and encouraged by their dads Paul and Mark), Harry's Candy Company is built on a shared passion for sweets and a love of experimentation. Every batch is crafted locally in Toledo, Ohio, for the highest quality and freshness.

We take your favorite candies and transform them into a light, airy and irresistibly crunchy treat. Confetti Clouds explode with color, Liddles pop like candy popcorn, Salt Water Taffy turns into melt-in-your-mouth meringue, and our Caramel Nuggets puff up into golden, golf-ball-sized bites.

The science

What makes freeze-dried candy special?

Freeze-drying removes moisture while intensifying flavor. As the water leaves, the candy puffs up and turns crisp, creating a crunchy, melt-in-your-mouth texture unlike anything you have had before. Gummies, chews, caramels and sours all transform into light, crispy and explosively flavorful treats.

Harry's Rule

We took on the State of Ohio, and won.

In October 2025 the Ohio Department of Agriculture had Harry's Candy pulled from a customer's shelves. Harry went to court the next day. Within two weeks the Department confirmed in writing that freeze-dried candy may be sold as a Cottage Food in Ohio.
